Description:
The rotary reamer is designed for every reaming operation but particularly for stabilization purposes when drilling in very abrasive formations. The rotary reameris a versatile tool which will fit hole sizes ranging from 5-7/8" to 28". In addition, by simple replacement of cutters, each body will suit a variety of abrasive formations.
Construction
The Rotary Reamerbody is made of AISI 4145 H modified alloy steel, fully heat treated to 285 - 341 Brinell hardness and 40 ft X lb IZOD-Z minimum impact strength. Connections are cold rolled, phosphatized, coated and equipped with protectors and are gaged to API Standards. As with every product, the rotary reamerbody is inspected on an ultrasonic control unit over its full length and section.
The original cutter and block assembly allows easy replacement of cutters by rig crews, while offering high mechanical strength due to its design and the particular surface treatments, such as case hardening of the main components, namely, central pin and blocks.
