API Square drill pipe for oilfield using , Oil Drilling Tools
Description:
1, Position of the drill string:On top end of drill string, upper end connects with swivel, and lower end connects with drill pipe and in drilling by rotary table.
2, The shape of drive section is square. Upper end is box thread , left hand,No bore back, key slot and circular slot marking.
3, Function and use:
① Transmitting the torque. It transmits the torsional energy from the rotary table to the drill pipe, drives the drill bit, and brings power for whole drill string.
② Suspending weight of the drill string, the overall length is longer than 12m,to ensure the bottom sub of kelly can go through rotary table after connecting with single joint.
4, Other:to reduce the wear and tear of bottom thread of kelly ( the position often taken apart), usually connect a saver sub at this position.
5, Kelly specification:the two opposite width of the square section (Across flats).
6, Product standard:API 7-1,API7-2,NS-1
